2. Help Feed Animals In Flooded Lafitte, Plaquemines
===================================================================

FROM KINSHIP CIRCLE:
Ramona Billot is a devoted rescuer who many recall managed the food/water
program for animals in Katrina-devastated Plaquemines Parish. Ramona, her
son, and about 14 to 16 cats (plus her sonʼs turtle!) recently evacuated
during Hurricane Gustav. But she is back in her Belle Chasse home and once
again helping animals in Ike;s treacherous path. With little presence from
any animal groups in flooded Lafitte and lower Plaquemines, we urge anyone
who can to donate toward food for left-behind animals.

PHOTOS: Flooded Ironton, Plaquemines Parish. Ramona writes: I am also very
concerned about Lafitte, which is completely flooded. Lafitte has always
been a place with lots of strays and ferals...

From: RAMONA BILLOT, ramonabillot@    yahoo.com --
I will feed animals and give
out pet food to residents in Lafitte and lower Plaquemines, areas flooded by
hurricane Ike. I am collecting donations of cat food, dog food, gift cards
or financial donations to purchase food. Please consider donating to help
animal victims of this storm.

**(Local) people may also drop off food at Petsmart in Harvey in the PAWS
barrel, but it needs to have my name (Ramona Billot) on it so that I get it.
