Southern California - Beautiful, Blue-Eyed Haley Looking for a Forever Home

"Haley day-dreaming of her Forever Home"
Haley is the most beautiful lynx-point Siamese girl. Her mother was hit by a car
when she was a kitten and she was saved by a passerby. She tested positive for
feline leukemia but has no symptoms and is looking for a forever home.
Haley has markings of both a Siamese cat and a Tabby cat. She has
crystal blue eyes, brown tabby stripes over her cream colored fur and lots of
long, white whiskers. Her fur is super-soft. She has the most innocent
expression on her face; as if she knows everything will work out for her and she
will find her new family.
Haley would be so happy to be in a home with another leukemia
positive cat or two, but could be an only cat. She's sweet, friendly and loves
attention. She's a "lap-cat" and she will love to cuddle and snuggle with
someone. She will make a wonderful companion as she just wants to be loved and
to be someone's best friend!
Haley is current on all medical and is spayed.
Please share
her story with anyone you think would like to meet Haley, especially people who
already have a cat that is FeLV+. Please contact Pat: 818/784-4297

Murphy, NC - Please help Sweetie...Donations are needed to help with her care. Posted Wed Jul 16, 2008
Tiffany Jourdain, a North Carolina animal rescuer, has rescued Sweetie from a NC neighborhood where people had threatened to shoot her. Sweetie is an extremely skinny, sad looking dog, with the sweetest personality and a strong will to live. Tiffany bathed her, as she was covered in blood from fleas, and very matted. She could feel every bone in her body. Sweetie has little or no muscle mass, and has hair loss from malnutrition.

Tiffany is currently fostering Sweetie; however, since their rescue organization, Project Paws, Inc. www.projectpaws.org is waiting for its 501 C3 approval, they cannot get funds to help with Sweetie's medical care, testing, deworming, shots and spaying (probably $200 - $300). Poor Sweetie obviously needs help NOW.

PLEASE - We need to help Tiffany and Sweetie by spreading the word and getting donations for her medical care. Tiffany is currently working on setting up a paypal account for Project Paws, but donations can be mailed directly to Tiffany at:
Project Paws
PO Box 1646
Murphy, NC 28906
For more info about Sweetie - you can contact Tiffany at leovrhs@gmail.com
Be sure to note on your check that the donation is for Sweetie's care. And thanks, in advance, for helping this sweet girl.
Darlington, SC - Two sweet, love-bonded dogs need a home together. Dumped by their owner, and their time is running out.
This
is a special plea for two bonded doggies, Barnaby and Charlotte.
They would be absolutely heartbroken if they had to be separated. One was
on death row, but was spared in hopes they could be adopted together.
Can you adopt or rescue both of them together to ensure that they don't have to
lose their best friend?

http://www.petfinde
http://www.petfinde
Barnaby is a male terrier mix and Charlotte is a female border collie mix. They
were surrendered to the shelter together by their owner. One is not good
without the other, and would probably die of a broken heart if separated (just
like people).
If you can adopt these
sweet dogs, please email Lynette at
raindoggies@live.com

Murphy, NC - Iggy was kept on a heavy chain - now he is protected and needs a home.
This is Iggy, a sweet Heeler mix! He was brought into a foster about about 2 months ago. After a sad life of no shelter, a huge heavy chain, little food, dirty water, and ears dripping blood from the fly bites.

He was brought to be at the pet store where I work, and
left. The "owner" just asked for her Chain back & walked away. No, goodbye hug,
no concern of where he was going to end up... just walked away with her heavy, 4
foot chain---the only life Iggy had ever known. Iggy went to a great
foster home, where he was neutered, given shots, & dewormed. Along with medical
care he was socialized, and given basicic obedience training, along with crate
training, and housebreaking. Iggy is almost 2 yrs old. He LOVES
kids, plays very gentle, and loves other animals! He is a sweet, great dog!!!
who just deserves love.
Iggy MUST go
to a home SOON!!! The foster home has LOTS & LOTS of foster dogs & puppies, and
Iggy is getting sad that he doesn't have a family that loves him. Everyday he
watches her puppies get adopted, and everyday he sits in his kennel & cries,
desperate for a home. OR a rescue that can help him find his way to a home!!!
If you can help Iggy,
e-mail me, Tiffany Jourdain at
leovrhs@gmail.com
or call Sharron 828-837-4186 MURPHY, NC
We
would also love donations to help cover medical costs, food cost...etc!
THANKS!!!!

Sugar Land, TX - 10 year old Gomer, a handsome orange tabby, needs a new home...

Gomer's current owner is getting married soon and her fiance' is allergic to cats, so she is trying to find a loving home for Gomer. She writes: Gomer is declawed and neutered. For the most part he just likes to lay around and purr, especially in the sun. But if you happen to drop a Q-tip or a rubber band on the floor, he goes a little nutty. He also likes to play with ribbons. He goes spastic with those little red lasers. He has not been around small children, so I am not sure how he would react to toddlers. He is very low maintenance and can be left alone. He understands human emotions and is sympathetic to them. He will lick your tears with a soft tongue when you are sad. And he will snuggle and purr with you. In the morning, he likes to have his tail pulled, don’t ask me why, he just does. He also likes to have his chin rubbed. If he wants a kitty-treat, he will sit in the kitchen and meow. If you rub his tail bone, he will start licking the air – it is really funny looking. He is the sweetest kitty. I don’t want him to be caged, or put up for adoption through a shelter, or ever feel as though he is not loved or wanted, because he is very much loved and wanted. He has helped me through some low points in my life, so I will not rest until I return the favor to him and find him a really good home. I am in Sugar Land, TX – but will travel to place him in a good home.
If you are interested in adopting Gomer, please contact his owner, Monique Woody at mwoody@cmctx.com or 281-822-6320. Transportation can be arranged.

Central Florida - Destiny (a sweet boxer mix) and her puppies need immedate help! She only has until July 15!!!

Hi, my name is Destiny. My story is very short but also very sad. I ended up at Animal Control after a neighbor reported my skinny malnourished body and this while I was also nursing eight hungry puppies. Whenever I could escape from my yard I was spotted digging through the neighbor’s trash scrounging for a morsel of food. Finally, after four of my puppies were prematurely taken from me, Animal Control arrived to investigate the report of a starving neglected dog and puppies. Now it is a week later and my little family of four puppies and I are doing much better, we are being fed and given a dry comfortable place to stay where we feel safe and protected. Unfortunately I only have until the 15th of July before I am being taken away from my puppies and this world.
I need a foster home for myself and my four puppies until everyone is well adjusted and healthy and can be adopted individually. I have tested positive for heartworms, but a generous loving person has agreed to donate the necessary funds for treatment.
Please
consider my story and give me another chance at life. If you can help Destiny
and her pups, please contact Carmen

Houston area - Mya Needs a Home TODAY. Read and share her story, and please give her a home if you can.

Mya, German Shepherd mix, sweet as the day is long, loving, gentle, great with kids, is looking for a home for the third time in as many months. Mya belonged to a family who never got her fixed and watched litter after litter of her pups die on the busy road near the house. Finally, they abandoned her down the street and told the Samaritan, "Take her."

A nice lady did adopt her, but she became hospitalized and could no longer care for her. She ended up in a shelter, is now being fostered, but the arrangement is short term. Mya deserves a chance. Can you help us find her "forever" home? She is now fixed, heartworm negative, up to date on shots. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this sweet girl, please contact Betty at 281-351-8861 or 713-417-2269 Email:

Houston area - Orphaned orange boys need a home ASAP.
Per Happy Cat Adoptions, Tanhouser (left) and Sunshine (right) were left behind when their human mom died. They were indoor/outdoor kitties, and when their beloved mom died, they refused to go back in the house. A friend cared for them, but being a dog person, didn’t know how to help them recover from their trauma.
Happy Cat Adoptions has taken them in and we’re looking for someone in the Houston area to foster the two red boys or better yet—an adopter! The boys need to stay together. Tanhouser is an older gent at around nine, and Sunshine is about five—but they have been together all of Sunshine’s life. They are up-to-date on shots, combo tested negative, and micro-chipped. They have just had a dental and are healthy. If you can adopt or foster these sweet boys, please contact Mickey Platko at Happy Cat Adoptions: mickey@domecats.com or 281-259-7322 or 281-259-9113

We are sibling indoor cats, Frieda and Diego. (Our human Mom was an artist at heart and she named us after the famous art couple, Frieda Khalo and Diego Rivera.)
We are about 10+ years old, current on shots, still have our claws, low maintenance and we are fixed. Our human Mom passed away four years ago, and then our human Dad passed away recently. We are staying in our home which is currently being emptied (though we do get long visits twice a day for food, rubs and attention…) but we’d really like a new home as we are not used to being without someone around … and this house isn’t much fun to hang out in anymore. The foster who is visiting/feeding us has two indoor dogs that aren’t nice to us feline types – so we really don’t have anywhere to go. We do not have to be adopted together, but if someone will take both of us – that would be purrfect too! Our foster tells us that she doesn’t want us to go to a shelter as you know how that trip generally turns out! Yikes!
Diego: I’m a sweetheart. I love to be around you and sit next to you on the chair/couch. I’ll sleep all day next to you if you want me to. I’ve still got some fun (though in small, rare bursts) left in me occasionally and I love to chase paper wads and toys. I was with my human Dad until the very end… sleeping peacefully and purring on his belly all throughout the hospice phase. I really miss him and would love a new Mom and/or Dad to hang out with now.
Frieda: I’m a very clever cat. I am very smart, independent and I like to investigate things around the house. I prefer to be perched on top of things (chair, bar top, couch) so that I can watch what’s going on around me. I’m not as much into rubs/cozying up to you as my brother, Diego, but when I want some rubs, I’ll definitely come and find you. I can be a good talker on the rare occasions when I am trying to get my point across.
Please contact our current foster if you are interested in helping us find a new and loving home. Her name is “Audra” and you can reach her at AClark@ClarkCastaldi.com ** to learn more about us.

Help needed - Louisiana Rescuer dies and her pets need homes - their story:
Linda Potts, longtime rescuer in New Orleans, met an untimely death at age 49 on June 11, 2008 and her small animal family desperately needs help.
Currently the pets are being held at the LA/SPCA and have been transferred in name to ARNO's foster/adoption program. We thank the LA/SPCA for allowing these pets to be housed for one week at their facilities. It is paramount that we move these pets to foster homes quickly, as the LA/SPCA and ARNO have zero space at their respective shelters.
1. Blackie... (large) a handsome
black lab that is just waiting for his next command... a good, good dog.
|
2. Lucky... (small) a precious white
terrier mix, who reportedly is on daily heart meds. Scared, shaking a little,
but sweet... just doesn't know what is happening.
|
3. Dixie or Trixie...(medium) a
beautiful cream/red color, not sure of her name yet, a sweet, but scared girl
who obviously misses her Mom. Possibly a collie mix?
|
4. Tuffy...(large) will be the toughest
to place... this old man is blind (no eyes), and almost deaf. He is just an old,
handsome pit mix. He was protective of Linda while living in the FEMA trailer,
but seems to be quite gentlemanly at the shelter with strangers handling him. I
am not sure Tuffy gets along well with other dogs, as Linda never left him alone
with the others. |
5. The only cat, though there was a
black one that the police saw run away... This guy is not exactly happy, but we
all know how cats can be... he looks nice and healthy, too. I will try to find
out his name. |
If you wish to foster or adopt any one of Linda's pets shown above please contact Charlotte or Robin at ARNO:

Houston, TX - Beautiful Siamese Mix Still Needs a Loving home - Meet Simone:

MEOW, my name is Simone. I am about 2 years old and up until recently I had a home, but I don’t think it was a very good one. The man who adopted me was not good to me, so now I am afraid of men. I really need to be in a home with women only and no young children. I have been in my foster home since October and I LOVE it here, but she needs the space to be able to help other kitties and I would really prefer to be an only kitty. I am loving and sweet, and I hope you'll fall in love with me. If you would like to meet this beautiful girl, contact Deanna at nokill8@hotmail.com ** www.nokill1.org and please share her pictures and story with others!

Cypress, TX - Beautiful declawed Siamese cats need a home.

Janet Roszelle writes: I have two Siamese male neutered and front declawed cats and I recently got married and as hard as my husband has tried to cohabitate with the cats, his allergies and asthma just won’t allow it. I do not have the heart to take the cats to a shelter as I am in fear that they would not go to the right person of be euthanized.
The boys are relatively young, 2-3 years old and one is VERY loveable and the other is loveable to me, but is freaky around other people…they really need to be together as the freakish cat would be very upset without his big brother. I’ve been avoiding this for months, but I am getting ready to leave in June and will have nobody to care for them.
If you can give these sweethearts a home, contact Janet Roszelle directly - email: jroszelle@sanchezog.com * or phone: 713.530.3304
Humble, TX - abandoned mama cat and 6 kittens will need homes - here is their story:
An awful man moved out of his home and abandoned this mama cat and 6 kittens. Jennifer Houser rescued these orphans and is fostering them until the babies are weaned and ready for adoption. Click on thumbnail photos to enlarge. We will update as the kittens grow:
April 10 - new photos received. Jennifer writes: They all seem to be doing really well and are growing very fast. It looks like we have 4 boys and 2 girls plus the mom. The Calico and the pic of the kitten named Cutie Pie are the females. It also so looks like the Calico is going to be long hair. The runt is the kitten named Billy. They are starting to drink water and Sammy climbed into the plate of food this afternoon and was trying to eat.
March 25 photos:
Jennifer has two dogs and two cats of her own, so obviously needs to place these sweethearts when they are ready; however, she did comment that the mama cat is very friendly to the dogs, so do keep that in mind for adoption purposes. She is not so friendly with the cats, probably because she sees them as a threat to her babies
If you would like to adopt one of these sweethearts, please contact their foster mom, Jennifer, directly - email: Jennifer.houser@foxsports.net * Phone number: 832-594-5201
Houston, TX (West Side) - Beautiful Burmese orphaned when owner passed away.

An elderly woman passed away, leaving behind this 10 year old Burmese cat. We cannot keep the cat as we have 4 animals already and a child on the way. The cat does best in a quiet environment. She has been a bit traumatized with everything that has happened and will need to get used to her new home slowly. If she is left alone for a couple weeks she will come out of her shell, but if you try to get her out too fast she will hiss. She is declawed and sweet once she feels comfortable in her environment. This cat is for a patient person who will be rewarded in time. She does need to go to a home or else we will need to take her to a shelter. If you can foster or adopt, please email mannekokd@yahoo.com *

New Jersey - This lovely gray girl needs a home ASAP.

My
neighbor and I have recently rescued a beautiful grey female manx
who is sweet and lovely. Obviously someone's pet once, she, like many
other strays we deal with, was abandoned. We try to find homes for
those who can go into one, and those who can't get fixed and released.
But we think she's special. We call her Smokey. She can't stay
where she is now, but at least she is indoors. Can you help find her
a good home she needs and deserves? I appreciate any help
you can offer. Regards, Kathleen
